This drill is great for Level 2 and up for fine tuning boat control and stopping and accelerating quickly. Start an upwind leg with your sailors, then blow a whistle to have them stop as quickly as possible. They must stay stopped until you blow your whistle again, at which time they must accelerate as quickly as they can.

Modifications:
- Do the same thing on a downwind
- Do the same thing on a course, such as a windward/leeward or a reach using buoys
- Two whistles to tack/gybe
- Add sailing backwards for 10s
